A LINGERIE shop in Yarm stripped bare in a late night burglary has celebrated a successful re-launch.

Kevin Kaczmarczyk, 31, of Athol, completed the unlikely trifecta by using a 9-iron to record the third ace witnessed by Godin in three days.

"He gave me more than a hug," Godin said. "He kept shaking my hand."

"He's a good luck charm," Kaczmarczyk said. "If it was going to happen, it was going to happen with him being there, that's for sure."

Black also witnessed Kaczmarczyk's ace.

GARDAI are treating the blaze at a second head shop in four days as arson.

Two staff were working in the Happy Hippy shop on Dublin's Northside, late on Tuesday night, when two men reportedly broke in, doused the store with petrol and set fire to it.

This is the second fire to break out at shops that sell so- called "legal highs" in the Clip on charms last few days amid fears the stores are being targeted.

I'VE always wondered what it would be like to have a Christmas ski holiday.

Imagine the festive glow from sipping hot wine by a roaring log fire while outside a giant white playground awaits with snow guaranteed on the big day.

At first the family was unsure.

Would they miss Christmas at home? Would Santa find us in the mountains? Would mum be bored without hours of cooking and tidying up to do? More importantly, would there be enough snow? Christmas week comes early in the ski season, the opening week for some resorts.

I needn't have worried, the 2008-9 season had bumper dumps of snow in early December.

In the Italian Alps, where the small resort of Claviere offered the traditional charm and variety of skiing we were looking for, they were up to their necks in the white stuff.

Claviere is actually right on Cheap Nike Blazer SB the 1 with France and part of the famous Milky Way ski area which also includes the resorts of Sestriere, Sauze d'Oulx, Sansicario, Cesana and the French town of Montgenevre.

We were travelling with Crystal Ski staying at the Hotel Grande Claviere, conveniently situated about 200 yards from the main lifts and beginners' slope.

So stashing our equipment back at the hotel we spent the rest of the afternoon exploring the town and pelting each other with snowballs.

Food was hearty mountain fare at Hotel Grande. Nothing fancy, but with a large breakfast, tea and cake at 4pm and a choice of evening meal there was plenty to satisfy hungry skiers.
